Chacchoben was a ceremonial city, the most important activity was the worship of their gods. 200 years before Christ at the end of the preclassic period Chacchoben started to have its first habitants, and it went all the way to 900 years after Christ when the collapse of the culture began.

Our excursion to Chacchoben Mayan ruins includes a local tour guide who will explain about the history and secrets of the Maya civilization in Chacchoben. Also in the actual days, what the people do for living in the village of Chacchoben. The place is full of jungle and most of the time we will be under shade of trees to feel more comfortable. There is also a high probability that we can see spider monkeys, because a big wild family lives in this area since 2008.
